A jockey is suing a slimming products manufacturer because he lost too much weight after taking one of its weight-loss aids.
Wanderson D’Aliva was banned from racing for a month after weighing in 1.8lb too light for a race meeting. Blaming its appetite suppressant spray, Aliva is now suing SensaSlim for damages and loss of reputation.
It's a dream PR opportunity, which can only help boost interest in buying a business opportunity from the weight-loss distributor. It's a PR opportunity the company hasn't overlooked. Sensaslim launched a newspaper advert this week thanking Avila "for suing us. The claims made by Wanderson D'Avila about SensaSlim working too well are ... absolutely true."
Whether or not ultimately costs the company the AU$12,500 Avila is suing for, it’s more powerful publicity than the company could ever have conjured itself.
Undeterred by Aliva’s experience, 200 of 800 registered jockeys in Australia are now using the spray, which according to Sensaslim suppresses appetite, accelerates the body’s fat-burning processes and helps build lean muscle-mass.
