“Our new and improved training course insures that potential franchisees can get the most out of their business from the very first day, with no hidden surprises or confusion” - Bill Owen, Director of Franchising, Dream Doors
Dream Doors, the UK’s largest kitchen makeover retailer and an award-winning franchise, has just announced that an extra week of training will be provided to new franchisees.
All franchisees receive a comprehensive four-week initial training period. During this time, they are taught all facets of the business from their business set up and supplier visits to IT training and vehicle hire. Following on from this is a nine-day intensive training course taking place in a specialised training centre situated near the company’s head offices in Gosport, Hampshire. These days cover sales, surveying and product training in a functioning Dream Doors showroom.
But now an extra appendage has been added to the training package; franchisees will receive three further day’s supplier training as well as one day of IOSH Health and Safety. The extra days with suppliers ensures franchisees’ businesses run smoothly from the outset. And the induction of IOSH approved Health and Safety Awareness Training means new franchisees gain crucial knowledge on safety within their kitchen services.
Kevin and Jacqui Groves, proprietors of Dream Doors Teesside, were attracted to the Dream Doors model and, after meeting various members of head office staff as well as other franchisees, decided it the franchise was the best choice for them:
“Our fellow franchisees are a great bunch, all in the same boat as ourselves being completely new to the business. We all quickly formed strong bonds of friendship and camaraderie, and of course, we will keep in touch and support each other in future. “
The Groves found the induction programme to be useful, interesting and enjoyable, saying:
“The training was an excellent mix of theory and practical exercises shared between two venues close-by one another – a training venue and a working showroom belonging to one of the existing franchise owners. Both were well equipped comfortable and modern, which proved to be ideal learning environments.”
Dream Doors has grown exponentially every year, with the number of visits to their website doubling in 2017. Turnover is at an all-time high with many fresh franchisees achieving a monthly turnover of over £100,000 within their first 6 months. Word of their success has spread, leading to franchisee numbers exceeding 75 across the nation. And with current franchisees opening second showrooms it looks like the service is as profitable as ever.
Mike Maughan-Brown (Dream Doors Exeter) looked back at why he joined Dream Doors, saying:
“I wanted to be part of a network that is recognised for its exceptional levels of customer service, as shown by Checkatrade feedback; because the financial returns achieved by franchisees are very attractive; and because, after speaking to three franchisees, one at the top end of the spectrum of achievement; one in the middle; and one towards the bottom; as well as staff at two other franchises; I could find nothing but enthusiasm for the business, the products and the franchiser.”
As well as the new and improved training course franchisees are also assigned a BDM (business development manager) who oversees their operations and assists in any way needed. Dream Doors is unique in its determination to help franchisees succeed. With multiple award wins and dedicated head office support, there has never been a better time to join the Dream Doors family.
Dream Doors is always looking for talented individuals or couples throughout the country. The company will also be at the British Franchise Exhibition, Event City, Manchester on 16 & 17 June 2017. FREE tickets available on request.
