The Big Smoke is an Australian online opinion and news publication launched in 2013. Positioned as politically unaligned and independent, it published original commentary across news, politics, the arts, lifestyle, law, social issues, satire and business, featuring both established and emerging writers. Over more than a decade, the publication attracted contributions from well-known Australian figures and built a recognised brand in the Australian opinion and commentary space. A United States edition was launched in 2015.

This is a sale of assets only. No shares, liabilities or employees will be transferred. The assets are sold on an “as is, where is” basis without warranties. It is expected that settlement will occur soon after EOI acceptance.
