The Vessels:
The AMSA Certified 41’ Class 1C Unique Identifier 452451, offshore Cougar Cat ‘Prospector’ was initially built for 22 persons plus crew. The vessel is in current 1C Class survey for 16 passengers plus crew for offshore fishing and whale watching, but can easily be increased back to the 22 plus crew if required. Current AMSA estimated rebuild cost $700,000. Vessel current insurance valuation $440,000.
The operation produces a part time gross revenue of >$350,000 over the last 12 months with over 1700 registered guests. After deducting skipper and crew wages, fuel and all insurance, marina and vessel maintenance fees producing a net profit after tax of more than $180,000 with massive growth potential either for an investor or an owner/operator to readily double or treble both this gross and net profit figure.
There is significant potential for at least 200 annual charter days which will push the part time gross revenue over $600,000 or even open the opportunity further with half day charters and night charters or even move into commercial or government work.

In addition to Prospector, with the sale there is now also the 2C Survey class vessel 'Seeker'
This part of the operation is specifically designed as a personal tuition style experience and although has full offshore capability the same as 'Prospector', it is more utilized for Bay fishing, river and estuary encounters. Put into 2C AMSA survey in 2013, Seeker is a hand built, 70kmh weapon with full floatation as a walk around Centre cab, and comes with its own full AMSA certifications and again with all new equipment, Offshore fishing license and new transport trailer in 2022. This vessel is chartered on an hourly basis currently at $175 per hour, with a minimum of 4 hours. In February 2024, Seeker had a full under floor fuel tank inspection, new internal floor and new scuppers following the inspection, the vessel was then fully AMSA inspected and approved in February and signed back into service. Seeker boasts all new safety gear and includes 2 X 9 inch Lowrance touch screen 9TI units with maps, side-scan and down-scan transducers.
