Networking events "growing in popularity"

This video blog was filmed at Business 2012 - the inaugural business networking event celebrating business small and large.

This week we discuss tourism, networking in Australia and globally. Attending a business networking event could help sellers to learn how you can sell your business in Australia.

Tourism Australia has embarked on its own integrated marketing program to yield more than $16m in events planning by 2020.

Launched in Melbourne this month, Tourism Australia Managing Director Andrew Macavoy says that these type of business events are "growing in popularity."

In 2010 networking events contributed $500m more to the Aussie economy than in 2009.

Back in London, Castrol is starting it's first 20/20 Challenge, inviting start-ups and innovators to come up with business models of the future.

Shortlisted entrants will attend a mentoring event in either London or Shanghai, where they'll meet a team of product development and R&D experts to help them realise their idea.
