I have had the van Malolo for 14 months and purchased her “new” as a rebuilt and completely modified 1976 Kombi with campervan extension.
The Kombi is automatic and has a kitchenette, reverse-cycle cabin air conditioning, a comfy double bed, an awning, a solar panel, etc.
Here is some info, including past reviews:
The van is rented through Camplify. Camplify are an incredible support as part of the entire hiring process, from booking, to the duration of each trip, the hirer experience and in case anything goes wrong their team are second to none and will support both you and the hirer throughout.
The check in and check out features on the Camplify app mean that if there is any damage due to hirer error this is reported back in and investigated by the Resolutions team, meaning you don't need to get involved in it.
I also have Camplify Premium Insurance which means I get excellent support at all times.
The van is part of the Franchise. This is the Berry Franchise on the NSW South Coast, although it could be transferred to another area in Australia.
The Franchise fees are approx $460 per month and the team are there to support your business and vehicle. We do provide PR opportunities and the occasional hire, but we secure the bookings using Social Media and I also had a lot of enquiries by advertising the van on Facebook buy and sell pages.
The van franchise is also part of the bigger community, we have access to their training, marketing manager support which is excellent, and the website
I bought the van for $130k and am selling for $95-105k. It turned over $40k since purchase and is well established in the area now.
We are selling to fund the final stages of our home renovation.
